Jane Yolen wrote a set of books about a group of warrior women who all have called a "dark sister", a twin, who they call up out of the darkness through a full-sized mirror in a ritual that all girls go through after training and purifying themselves. Their "dark sisters" only appear at night, in moonlight or man-made light, and they have their own personalities and knowledge, but they are inseparable from their "light sisters."

SO YES, the reasons why this fusion is awesome:

1) Twins! Secret magic twins!

2) Classic: Double the number of female characters, like that!

3) Worldbuilding: Is it only possible for women to perform the ritual? Is it a thing that other people have learned from these women? How difficult is it? How weird are people who have figured it out considered?

4) Who would be the worst person to get a secret magic twin in your canon? Because I can think of a few.

Sense8 is about a group of people around the world all born on the same day that unknowingly share a soulbond. When that bond is activated, they can sense each other's emotions, talk across any distance and take possession of each other's bodies to share their knowledge and skills.

Leverage is about a seemingly disparate group of 'bad guys' a hitter, a hacker, a grifter, a thief and a good guy turned 'bad' mastermind. Together they fight crime! But it's corporate crime, the kind of stuff where the rich guys walk away and the little people suffer. People come to them when they have no other resources and the Leverage gang comes up with a plan, usually involving a cool con, many costumes and dialects, some brilliant computer hacking and a gloat at the end when the baddy gets his just rewards and the victim gets not only justice, but usually some financial recompense.

Would love to see the central cast (Penny and the boys) from Big Bang Theory as a gate team on Atlantis. Penny as a Marine, the boys as scientists - and maybe Sheldon has the Ancient gene? Oh, the trouble they could get into! Perhaps a type 3 a/u, whereas they're there working under Sheppard and McKay.
